I’m Kim and became interested in facilitation when I realised that I didn’t want to be the ‘one at the front’ telling people what to do! I am quite an ‘introvert’ and discovered that asking questions and getting the people to ‘think’ and ‘talk’ helped me feel more confident and focus more on the group and worry less about what people thought about me.
I really enjoy listening to people’s ‘facilitation challenges’ and helping them improve. I have worked with some great clients over the years and built some very special, and long-term working relationships. I am especially proud of the National Training Award I won in partnership with AHDB Dairy in 2008 for the work we did on using Facilitation to encourage Knowledge Exchange with Dairy Farmers.
Testimonial
Even for the most confident people it can be really intimidating facilitating meetings and workshops with any size group.
I came away from my training with Kim, understanding what ‘good facilitation’ looks like and with a huge range of practical tools and techniques I can ‘dip into’ that help me put the theory into practice.
Kim’s model of Facilitations really does work, I have used it many times and each time I use it my confidence grows. I now understand the importance of engaging my audience and I am getting some great feedback from the farmers I work with.
